Issuing W-2’s to Employees and Filing Form W-3

All employers are required to give employees their copies of Form W-2 for 2023 by January 31, 2024.
If sending by postal mail, make sure that all envelopes are mailed and postmarked on or before January 31st.
If the employee has agreed to receive Form W-2 electronically, have it posted on a website and notify the employee of the posting on or before January 31st.
Remember to also file Form W-3, Transmittal of Wage & Tax Statements, with Copy A of Forms W-2 you issued for 2023 to the IRS.
